Hello everyone. I am a Ph.D. graduate in Microbiology with U.G. in dentistry (B.D.S.) from India. I qualified CSIR NET JRF (Life Sciences) and have a post-doctoral experience of 3 years, and would like to get into academia as Assistant Professor. Based on the advertisements from central universities and private institutions, I think Masters degree is mandatory. Now I am thinking of pursuing a Masters degree (M.Tech./M.Sc.) in computational biology.
I request suggestions/opinions regarding the following:
- Am I eligible for faculty jobs without Masters degree?
- Is it better to M.Tech. or M.Sc. if I am eligible for both?
- How can I build my career in academia with my qualification and experience?
