Jigsaw classroom: using student differences to bolster student learning

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at .

Very informative article and indeed ‘jigsaw classroom’ appears promising tool for promoting collaborative learning. The idea of utilizing the methodology in practical classes sounds very much feasible as groups are smaller and one has more time (4 hrs for one practical slot) but logistics for larger (of say, 140 students) and shorter duration (1 hr) theory classes will need to be finely worked out. I will definitely try this in the coming semester and would love to share here mine as well as students’ experience with it.
